When you're dealing with mold or the moisture behind it, we connect you with an independent local provider experienced in mold remediation. We're a service of North Bay Pros, which runs a small network of local home-services sites in Marin and Sonoma counties.
What we do, and what we don't
- We answer calls 24/7 and pass your request to a local provider who serves your area.
- California doesn't license mold remediators, so we check what we can: an active CSLB license for providers doing construction work, and insurance. See how we vet providers.
- We don't do mold work, testing or inspections ourselves, set prices or guarantee results. Providers are independent businesses responsible for their own work, licensing and insurance.
- Our service is free for homeowners. Providers pay us for referrals, and you're never obligated to hire anyone.
How we write our guides
Our guides follow California Department of Public Health and U.S. EPA guidance, and draw on local sources such as the National Weather Service, the County of Sonoma and city governments. When official guidance says something isn't needed, like mold testing when you can already see or smell mold, we say so. We link sources in the text and list them at the end of each guide.
